You can definitely tell you did that project just before digital content became a craze in the F1 paddock – there is no way any team would have been sending pages of copy even two years after your charmingly cheeky experiment.
I’ve written to teams, but never received more back than signed autograph cards and (in one case) a form letter (in the sense of “it asked me to follow the team on Twitter when we’d been following each other for over a year by that point…”). The amount of access we get nowadays on the internet is amazing, but it certainly hasn’t done much for the tactile element of team support.
