When I was at university, this job was called information management, and the people who did it were information managers. There was even professional accreditation for it, that required three years’ study of a degree.
I wonder what happened to that strand of thought, for it not to even make the list of possible names? Or is that, like traditional engineering, too much study in the middle of a busy life?
