Hey, great food for thought here! The part about open ended UI being bad feels especially familiar. The truth is that you only learn to use these generative AI tools by using them, but does that need to be so? They’re essentially a power user tool still, even if “everyone” is using them — I guess that’s why you nowadays can’t scroll your social media feed for more than five posts until you hit yet another “use these 10 prompts to X your Y” or “this is how I X’d my Y with AI in five simple prompts” thread.

What I, for one, would like to see would be that the models queried you first a little before jumping into the task. You can ask for a blog post about X, but the model could so easily enhance your experience by asking about the tone, intended audience, etc etc, just as an example.
