Alex and I got married in February. Now we’ve got the official photos and have had some time to reflect on a busy few months. So I’m going to post a few wedding-related posts in the coming weeks. First up — something we did eight months ago.
In September, Alex and I made each other’s wedding rings.
We decided to do a jewellery workshop with Scarlett Erskine. Alex loved the engagement ring Scarlett made, so there was of course only one choice for our wedding rings.
Unlike many jewellery workshops, Scarlett actually lets you get on with it and make your rings, with just the right amount of guidance.
I have to admit, at this stage I couldn’t imagine how well our rings would end up.
We both had a really fun time making the rings.
We were in fact making the silver masters. These were then taken away to be cast in platinum and hallmarked.
We are delighted with the results.
